Blue Café in Downingtown is proud to announce the addition of their Gallery Dining Room to the existing facility. Showcasing local artists, Blue is delighted to display Adrian Martinez’s work. Known primarily for colonial era paintings, his still-life art is also coveted by collectors. Mr. Martinez recently completed the task of painting a wall-sized mural, “Paraiso Azul” (Blue Paradise), for the new dining area.
With his recent commission for the White House in Washington, D.C and exhibiting in Fort Worth, New York and Philadelphia, Adrian has become an artist of national, if not international stature. We are thrilled to have him as our “artist-in-residence.”
“Artists traditionally love cafes. This is hardly surprising considering they spend most of their professional lives working alone. Sometimes, when my painting gets frustrating, the best thing for me to do is to stroll down the street and get renewed at the Blue Café.
The food is outstanding and Paul and Patti always make me feel at home. Every artist needs a café.” - Adrian Martinez
